FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Connecticut Department of Insurance Approves RiskMeter’s New Shoreline

Boston, MA, October 2007
- CDS Business Mapping, LLC a leader in online hazard mapping, today announced the Connecticut Department of Insurance has approved its coastline report and it’s now available through CDS’s RiskMeter Online service. This new report takes into account where the highest winds will occur along rivers, bays and inlets and it can be used by insurers to enforce their distance to coast underwriting guidelines.

“In order to protect the interests of coastline homeowners, as well as maintaining a competitive homeowners’ marketplace, the CT Department of Insurance has issued a report which includes a number of the department’s administrative actions,” explains Jamie Munson, Director of Consulting Services, CDS Business Mapping. “One of the actions mentioned in this report is that insurers are to use a specific methodology to enforce their coastal underwriting practices,” says Munson. “By using the RiskMeter and our standardized coastline, carriers can be assured they are in compliance.”

In response to the this mandate, CDS Business Mapping worked with the CT Department of Insurance to create a coastline report for its RiskMeter Online service which meets these parameters. This report has been approved and is now available through the RiskMeter Online. For more information, please contact Jamie Munson at 860.854.6125 or Email
