For property insurers looking for accurate earthquake risk information, RiskMeter presents USQuickQuake Score™ (USQQ-Score). This advanced tool provides one simple score (1-6) to evaluate the overall earthquake risk. Also includes all of the data from USQuickQuake Access™ (AP Fault Zone, Landslide Susceptibility, Soil Conditions, Distance to Fault and MMI) for more detailed analysis .
PRODUCT COVERAGE: Continental United States
DATA SOURCE: USQuickQuake Score is owned by our partner, EQECAT, Inc., the worldwide leader in providing state-of-the-art catastrophe risk management, information, software, and consulting services.
METHODOLOGY: USQuickQuake performs an analysis of the full range of expected earthquakes that will affect your site. The analysis considers the estimated frequency of all these earthquakes and estimates a maximum ground shaking that could occur during the specified Return Period. The Return period can be set to 100, 250 or 500 years. That ground shaking also considers the effect of the type of soil and geology that lies beneath the site. The analysis makes use of the latest information from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), both for earthquake source characteristics and for subsurface geology.
WHAT DATA IS INCLUDED: Earthquake Score is a relative ranking of the earthquake risk at the site. The risk score ranges from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest) obtained from the ground shaking at the site considering based upon the specified return period (100, 250 or 500 years). A score from 1 (low) to 6 (high) is returned. In addition, all data from USQQ Assess is included (AP Fault Zones, Landslide Susceptibility, Soil Conditions, Distance to Fault, MMI and Earthquake Score).
