Batch Tool
for Multi-Location Schedules Coming Soon |
|
CDS has developed a tool that will allow underwriters,
agents and brokers to run schedules through the RiskMeter
themselves! CDS currently runs schedules for clients, but
users must Email us a file, which we run through our software
internally, and then it is sent back to the client. With the
new batch tool, users will be able to take their schedules and
run policies through on their own.
How does it work? The only thing users will need
to do is upload a tab delimited file on the batch client Web
site. Once the file is uploaded, it gets processed
automatically and the results are Emailed back. Users can
expect to receive an Email with their results a few hours
later. This new tool will definitely help brokers, who require
a quick response. This process requires no intervention by
CDS, so schedules can be run at any time of
day.
Live Demonstration On Thursday, June
14th at 2pm EDT Daniel Munson, VP of Sales & Marketing
will be doing a live demonstration of the RiskMeter Batch
tool. This is a great way to see for yourself how this
powerful new tool can increase sales and streamline
underwriting. To secure a spot at this event, please go to: https://cdsys.webex.com

Sinkhole
Report Update |
|
New Pennsylvania sinkhole report Due to
popular demand the RiskMeter Online has added a Pennsylvania
sinkhole report. This report returns the number of sinkholes
in an area and the distance to the closest sinkhole.
Currently, this report is available for the following
counties: Berks, Leigh and Northampton, but
additional counties maybe added based on customer
requirements. For more information, please contact David
Poitras at 617.737.4444 or dpoitras@cdsys.com
Tennessee sinkhole report feedback Based on
customer feedback, the RiskMeter Online is looking to see
whether it should add a Tennessee sinkhole report. Due to
recent changes to a law in Tennessee, sinkholes are now a much
bigger issue for insurers. Please contact Daniel Munson at
617.737.4444 or dmunson@cdsys.com
More than 3,000 sinkholes added to Florida
clearinghouse! CDS is proud to announce that within the
past year, over 3,000 sinkholes have been added
RiskMeter's sinkhole clearing house. This brings the total
number of sinkholes to over 6,000! CDS believes sharing
sinkhole information will allow carriers to have the most
accurate picture of sinkhole activity in Florida. Missing just
one of these sinkholes could lead to a very costly claim. Get
involved today!
How does the sinkhole clearing house work program
work? For people who aren't familiar with this program,
here's how it works. Insurers who submit reported sinkholes
will have access to an exclusive database that is
comprised of our data and other carriers' data as well. Taking
part in this program is a win-win situation because it will
give users a better picture of their sinkhole risk. To find
out more about this program, please contact Jamie Munson at
860.854.6125 or jmunson@cdsys.com

Storm Surge
Report Expands to 14 States |
|
RiskMeter's Storm Surge report is now live in the following
states: AL, CT, FL, GA, LA, MA, ME, MS, NC, NH, NY, RI, SC
and TX. For those of your who aren't familiar with this
report, RiskMeter's storm surge report identifies areas that
are likely to be flooded during hurricanes. Our storm surge
maps are based upon the well known and respected SLOSH
(Sea, Lake, and
Overland Surges from
Hurricanes) storm surge model. This report will
let you know if a property falls within an area likely to
flood from a hurricane of a specific strength (category 1-5),
as well as the estimated maximum storm surge height for each
category of storm.
How will this help users? RiskMeter's storm surge
report is the perfect tool for insurers who are looking to
gain a better understanding of their coastal flood exposure.
Although flood maps approximate storm surge levels, the SLOSH
storm surge maps are more detailed and provide a more
realistic assessment of coastal flooding. Post Katrina
insurers have a heightened sense of concern with respect to
coastal flooding. Although technically storm surge is not
covered under many homeowners' policies, this assumption is
currently being challenged in court. Many insurers are now
checking to see if a policy might be subject to flood claims,
even if they aren't covered. Carriers who write excess flood,
business interruption, BOP's, commercial property and coastal
homeowners can all benefit from this report.
In the
next few weeks we will be adding more states. For more
information, please contact Daniel Munson at
617.737.4444 or dmunson@cdsys.com
