Leading Geocoding Solutions

Address placement plays a vital role for underwriters and agents who leverage automated underwriting solutions.  However, it doesn’t matter if you’re using the latest technology if you’re making decisions based on the wrong location.  The RiskMeter Online provides the best geocoding solutions, so underwriters and agents can assess and price risk correctly!

Why Use the RiskMeter Online?

About RiskMeter's Geocoding Solutions

Parcel Level Geocoding - Although standard geocoding yields excellent results, parcel level geocoding takes it one step further.  When an address is run through this database, it will place the address entered into the center of the parcel.  This is much more accurate than street level geocoding, which takes an address and approximates its location on a street segment.

Birdseye Geocoding (Patented) – This feature allows users to more accurately geocode an address by enabling them to pull up aerial photos.  With Birdseye Geocoding, users can manually move the spotted point on our aerial photos, and RiskMeter will automatically recalculate all of the results.  Birdseye Geocoding is a great tool to use for properties in rural areas, new developments or large facilities on big parcels.

Multiple Geocoders –In order to help our users to match the most addresses, the RiskMeter Online leverages three geocoders to return industry leading match rates.  Using multiple sources allows us to obtain results that no single geocoder can match.

Manual Placement – Although street level geocoding is generally very accurate, there are many times where the geocode doesn’t fall exactly on the structure.  With the RiskMeter Online, its possible for users to move the spotted point on our natural hazard maps and aerial photos.  Once the location is corrected, the RiskMeter will generate new results  for the spotted location. This is a great feature for rural properties, farms, ranches, schools, corporate and college campuses, and other large installations with multiple buildings.

Manual Geocoding – For users who require the highest level of geocoding accuracy, our GIS analysts can manually plot points on our aerial photos and natural hazard maps.  This service is very helpful when checking FEMA Flood Zones and Storm Surge for oil refineries, high school & college campuses, corporate headquarters, hospitals and other properties which have multiple buildings.
